Say hello to your favorite backyard friend- the Ruby Throated Hummingbird! They are frequent flyers at the feeders and zoom and zip through our communities. This photo was captured in Copley, Ohio in July in the early evening. The photo was taken at an extremely high shutter speed to freeze the bird in motion.
Photographing hummingbirds takes a lot of patience. Due to their speed, it is a challenge to capture them in the frame at the exact moment in flight. Hours can be spent waiting with many attempts, only to come away with a single decent exposure.
This is an 8x10" photo matted inside of an 11x14" double mat. The front facing mat is white, with an inside mat of black, both 4 ply making the mat 8 ply in thickness. The overall size measures 11x14". The photo has been mounted using the T-Hinge method and linen hinging tape, making it easy to remove from the mat.
The photo was taken by the photographer Alex Corbin and comes with a certificate of authenticity. It has been printed on Kodak Luster Endura paper which is known for its true colors, durability, and resistance to fading.
