This is a photo of an Anna’s Hummingbird taken on a summer morning in San Diego, CA. They were zooming through blooming flowers on a towering broad tree in the sun. The photo was taken using a large telephoto lens on a tripod at an extremely high shutter speed to freeze the bird in motion.
Photographing hummingbirds takes a lot of patience. Due to their speed, it is a challenge to capture them in the frame at the exact moment in flight. Hours can be spent waiting with many attempts, only to come away with a single decent exposure.
There are two variations of this photo available and additional sizes can be offered upon request. Currently available are a 16x20” photograph in a 20 x 24” 8 ply mat, and an 8x10” photo in an 11x14” double mat. Corresponding pricing is listed below.
The photo was taken by the photographer Alex Corbin and comes with a certificate of authenticity. It has been printed on Kodak Endura paper which is known for its true colors, durability, and resistance to fading.
